Burger King Time, is Family Time

A few weeks ago, I participated with Yehey.com’s and Burger King’s treat to bloggers. To be honest, I haven’t gone to Burger King to eat for the past three years ever since I graduated college - I’ve cut down on fast food since I graduated, that is. I just knew that my baby sisters would love eating here, so I brought my family to the event.
Amongst what we got for dinner, noteworthy mentions were the Steakhouse Burger (Loaded )and the Chicken with Rice.

The Steakhouse Burger (Loaded ) was interesting because it had a beef patty ( that was flame-grilled ) that does not taste like the normal fastfood burger, it tasted healthier by a bit. Haha! ( I just can’t explain how, but charboiled or flame-grilled burgers just taste way differently from those deep fried or skillet fried ). It was loaded with bacon strips, mashed potatoes, fried onion rings, and A1 sauce. This was so filling that I was just able to finish one half of this and pass this on to a sibling because I was seriously craving for some chicken. This alone would surely pass for lunch or dinner.

The Chicken With Rice, is simply AMAZING. I know that Burger King is famed for well, their burgers but the fried chicken here is SO DELICIOUS. I can frankly say that it is better than McDonald’s! ( well, second to Jollibee, that is my one true love! ). The gravy is not too salty, tastes just right that makes me want to put some hot sauce in it. The rice serving is pretty generous, and I was able to finish one piece with rice in a matter of minutes! ( I got 2-piece but I gave one piece to my other sister. haha ! )
For dessert, here’s what we got :

Some coffee for mom, New York Cheesecake and Dutch Apple Pie to share. I loved the New York Cheesecake for it was better than normal cheesecake -not too sweet, not too much on the cheesy end, just right, and I did not get tired of the taste quickly like other kinds of cheesecake. I’d definitely go back for this. The Dutch Apple Pie stole my heart with the very familiar sweet and sour apples in it! Apparently, I was very much taken with their desserts. I swear , when I go back to Burger King, or when I go to Glorietta again, I would go to Burger King just for their Dutch Apple Pie. For a fastfood chain, their apple pie is surprisingly above fastfood standards. Goodness.
Post dinner pictures, to see if we’re happy?

My sister Sarabeth very much happy with her dessert.

My sister Juliette very much taken with their desserts ( look at her. she looks like she’s almost in the verge of writing an ode or singing for the apple pie! haha! )

and I, very much happy with free wifi there. Dad says that he saw at least ten laptops inside Burger King. Who wouldn’t want to make use of free wifi while eating good food?
To come back, or not to come back? Definitely will come back. My family loved the experience, and shall have another family experience here, soon!
