A Veneto’s Seafood Pasta Parmigiana

was a crazy Saturday last week as Brigitte and I did makeup for Ross Capili’s Next Models Photoshoot held at the OWG Studio in Makati. I loved the experience, and usually, when I do makeup, I tend to get carried away ( because I like doing it so much and I thrive in adrenalin during these times ), but my stomach started growling like hell when we were on our way to Glorietta. I’ve been told my alot of my friends that A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria serves very delicious Italian food without hurting the pocket, and as I’ve never tried it, Brigitte and I went there for our very late lunch!

We ordered two dishes - Bacon Cheeseburger Pie ( 10″ at 175 php ) and Seafood Pasta Parmigiana ( @ 205 php ). It also helped that they had chili flakes, my favorite thing to add on any dish!Haha!

The Seafood Pasta Parmigiana earned my instant love because it was sour! I’ve always preferred my pasta being a bit sour rather than tasting sweet, and this was just perfect. There were generous amounts of seafood ( mussels, squids,) and at first, it was covered with mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta itself. The pasta was normal spaghetti noodles, and overall, I loved this dish so much that I am going back to this restaurant just to eat their pasta. Very, very good.

The Bacon Cheeseburger Pie , on the other hand, I feel, is a bit mediocre. I’m not saying that it tastes bad, because it tastes nowhere near the word bad. I actually loved it, it was a bit salty ( just the way I like it ) , but I got tired of the taste quite easily, after 2 and a half slices. I was able to eat more of the Seafood Pasta Parmigiana, perhaps my tastebuds were looking for some real Italian pasta taste. Sigh!

I’d definitely come back to A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria for more, because I’m pretty sure they have more mouth-watering dishes that I can do one of my pigout sessions here!
