Chinatown, Singapore!
It was another Friday night, and what better way to finish the work-week and study-week off than eating good food with great company! This time, we decided to check out Chinatown, here in Singapore. Very much fascinated and excited, I think I was the first to arrive in the meeting place leaving extra early, anticipating good Chinese food, which happens to be my favorite cuisine of all time. I could really get fat just eating and eating Chinese food without any guilt.
The Chinatown in Singapore has a very modern feel without much shedding off its very traditional and rich Chinese culture. Stepping out of the MRT Station in Chinatown, I was immediately greeted with a shopping haven of everything , from Chinese antiques, medicine, food/deli, and so much more! It had a very festive atmosphere since Chinese New Year was coming up in a week’s time, and it dawned upon me how the Singaporeans regard this as one of the most important occasions of the year since they don’t really celebrate Christmas, and prepare even more for Chinese/Lunar New Year.
the very interesting wall of dried Chinese food. Love it! All in red, huh!
