Singaporean Yummy Adventures : Din Tai Fung

Remember what I said about wanting to compare Din Tai Fung Shanghai, Din Tai Fung Singapore, and Crystal Jade, in Holland Road, Singapore?

Well, I am proud to say that I can finally compare!

The verdict is in…

Din Tai Fung Singapore ( Wisma Atria branch ) has really good Xiao Long Bao’s. Thing is, they’re not the best. Even if I’ve eaten alot for dinner, I still could not get off my mind the memory of my ever-blissful Xiao Long Bao experience at Crystal Jade last Chinese New Year, for it was much, more flavorful, in my opinion. But really, nothing can ever beat the Xiao Long Bao’s in China, specially Din Tai Fung’s in Shanghai, but then I am in Singapore, and still say that Crystal Jade has the best. They say that Lau Pah Sat has Xiao Long Bao’s also, and I have yet to try them. I shall, very soon!

Yummy Singaporean Adventures : Chinese New Year Dinner at Crystal Jade!

In the midst of the Lunar New Year, everyone in Singapore is preparing, cooking food in their homes, preparing steamboat meals, giving away ang-pao ( red gift envelopes with money in them ), and giving mandarin oranges for luck. As for me, I am away from my family, and I thank the Lord so much as I am blessed with wonderful friends from highschool here in Singapore, as I celebrated the Lunar New Year with them, whom I consider my second family.

Of course, these good friends of mine have really keen tastebuds, and decide to dine in only the best Chinese restaurant in Singapore ( in our opinion ) - Crystal Jade. There are so many branches of Crystal Jade here, and the nicest one is located at Holland Road, and there is where we camped in to eat our Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner together.
