Singaporean Yummy Adventures : High Tea Buffet at Goodwood Park

One damp, and chilly afternoon, my friends and I braved the rains to have a pleasant high tea buffet experience at the very picturesque Goodwood Park Hotel. Goodwood Park, from outside, is such a sight to behold, because of its charming European architecture. It definitely stood out from the modern architecture that surrounded the very commercial Orchard area. With our tummies slightly full from a planned light lunch, we went there to feast on afternoon delights such as sandwiches, pastries, tea, and coffee.
The ambience was very light, comfortable, and classy. It’s like I’ve stepped into a real English tea party.

I felt very much like an English lady having her afternoon tea, as I ordered my Vanilla Ceylon tea.
At first, it looked like this.

But then, my milk tea addiction prompted me to do something about my tea as I was not a big tea lover, and adding some milk and honey produced :

Vanilla Milk Tea? Hahahaha!
The selections for the High Tea Buffet were wonderful. Whoever thought that one could be so full with all the mini sandwiches, and mini pastries, cakes, biscuit area, and fondue fountain?

Round 1. Sandwich overload. Paninis, sashimi with foie gras ( very good ), egg roll with smoked chicken inside ( ooh la love, absolute favorite! ) amongst too much mini sandwhiches!

Round 2. Clearly showed that I have an obvious bias for the egg roll. How can I resist? It’s just so heavenly! More foie gras and sashimi, and a hint of fruit - strawberry dipped in the chocolate fondue fountain with candy sprinkles.

Never forgetting Creme Brulee, my all time favorite dessert!

Cookie break. Wonderful mini cookies, all just right on the level of sweetness, and some just sweet for the occasion, like chocolate cookies!

Fruits and dessert. This is my friend’s plate , but my plate consisted of too much strawberries, not coated in chocolate, for the sole reason that I love fresh strawberries that much and I would never tire of sinking my teeth on that absolute heaven of freshness. ( ode to strawberry, by Sophie Uy. Haha! )
For 40sgd per head, from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, the High Tea Buffet at Goodwood Park surely did not disappoint. The food was very very flavorful, you’d get to pick your favorites from there and just eat, eat, and eat, til you get your tummies full. I was surprised that I’d actually like this because I was not fond of tea and pastries, and right now, there is nothing that I want more than go back, and sample Goodwood Park’s other buffets!
