Yummy Adventures

This entry is a bit overdue, but let me still blog about it because my experience dining in this resto was just unforgettable.

The Paramount is a restaurant located inside The Paramount Hotel, located in East Coast Road, Singapore. As we entered the vicinity, it was full of quiet shops and bars which were closed during noontime, and it wasn’t lively and bright at all – as compared to other establishments in Singapore. But then, as we reached the end of the ground floor ( walking further ), then, we finally saw the busy atmosphere of the usual Chinese restaurant on a Sunday lunch – waitresses running around, buffet tables, tables of families in their warm chatter, oh, it seemed like home.

Dimsum in The Paramount is only served during lunchtime, and we did not avail of the dimsum buffet since we wanted to order other food. But then, the dimsum served were really, really tres delicious. Can I say heaven?

In the midst of the Lunar New Year, everyone in Singapore is preparing, cooking food in their homes, preparing steamboat meals, giving away ang-pao ( red gift envelopes with money in them ), and giving mandarin oranges for luck. As for me, I am away from my family, and I thank the Lord so much as I am blessed with wonderful friends from highschool here in Singapore, as I celebrated the Lunar New Year with them, whom I consider my second family.

Of course, these good friends of mine have really keen tastebuds, and decide to dine in only the best Chinese restaurant in Singapore ( in our opinion ) – Crystal Jade. There are so many branches of Crystal Jade here, and the nicest one is located at Holland Road, and there is where we camped in to eat our Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner together.
